jamacanbacn.itch.io/rocketjump uploaded an early build of my rocket jump game, its barely a game but its mine and i am working on it every day. Feedback will really help even if its rough around the edges

Anhedonia sucks for the fact most people cannot fathom the idea of not deriving any pleasure from things. They think my anhedonia is over just because they see me taking part in some activity

Does anyone have recommendations for article reading that doesn't stem from "social media"? Trying to avoid twitter, reddit, etc but still have things to read regularly. A lot of discovery tools i have tried get the source material from socials basically.

99% of discord servers have 99% useless channels that are just noise. Hate that it became "appealing" to have 30 channels for every category and forums died so everything can be walled gardened into discord completely unsearchable

They will say don't blame the cashiers for management problems but then the minute they start talking to gamedevs they change the script and act like they don't understand role specific work

Makes me mald when some random poster says "Stop adding skins and fix bugs"
"Stop fixing bugs and make a sequel"
I don't understand how people cannot comprehend that development jobs are the same and you work with your exact role you are assigned. Its not a single dev working on every single task. The art team works on art and the engineers work on the code. The janitor cleaning their office is not taking time away from the sequel being developed

Keep looking for QA tester positions for games and they check all the boxes and then I realize its a web3 game but if I tell them it can be solved with a centralized database they block me :1000:

Wasn't able to get new update out for RocketJump game but i did post a blog on itch if you want to check out some things I have been working on jamacanbacn.itch.io/rocketjump

Its always tough being in that limbo between pushing yourself way too far to get your creative work done or letting yourself wait til the feeling really strikes to work on it and fearing that day never comes again

I posted an itch blog on the current gameplan for getting my rocket jump game to alpha jamacanbacn.itch.io/rocketjump

Maybe the devs are having a slow week back from holidays and you could try to share how the bug happened for you -- nope they are lazy that is the only explanation

I find it wild how uncharitable some gamers on socials will be toward the devs of their preferred game. They will blame the artists for not fixing the bugs and then will also say the devs are lazy. I feel like there are literally 100 other possible scenarios in gamedev that isn't simply "laziness"
Disgusting to see how you get treated for daring to work on a video game when in my mind it's just a fucking video game, move on.

Decided to try a "devlog" style video on my Unreal Engine 5 game. Would appreciate constructive feedback on the commentary or footage youtube.com/watch?v=7vbRkaeqGY
