If you're new to the Fediverse, here's what made the platform work for me: aggressively following and unfollowing new people.
Whatever standards you've built up on Twitter for deciding to follow someone, throw them out the window. Follow someone because they made a funny or insightful post. Follow someone because their bio says they like pesto. Follow someone because they have a cute fursona. Anything really.
Following is free. And if it doesn't work out, unfollowing is also free.
Grab an old computer, install Plex on it, and learn how to share it over the network so you can drop stuff on it.
By the time you get your footing you'll be picking the real download button on file hosting sites like Indiana Jones picking the holy grail
@Rhyme is that phos you have in your profile?
I spot a great anime taste
Every time I tried using gnome, I felt like something was off, always had the feeling of "almost there but it's still not for me" and went back to kde.
Now, thanks to babywogue (a super amazing linux youtuber, I highly recommend checking them) I decided to give gnome another chance(s?) and finally with a bit of tinkering and installing some extensions, it feels incredibly comfy now
Now, if I can force the use of the kde file picker in gnome, my experience would feel much better ngl
My GPIB + RS-232 test setup is up and running. Performing automatic experiments on many thousands data points with code. #electronics
